QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BOOK?
How long does the hand casting appointment take?
Plan for up to one hour for your appointment. Most of that time is spent walking you and your player through the process, preparing the hand position, practicing how to hold the baseball, and making sure everyone is ready before we begin.
The actual casting takes about 5 minutes.
Once I mix the alginate, it’s go time. The material begins setting right away, so we prepare everything first to help make the casting smooth, comfortable, and successful.
Where do appointments happen in Tucson?
Hand casting appointments take place at my home studio in Tucson, Arizona. You will receive the location details after your appointment is confirmed.
Can you come to our home?
Yes. I offer in-home appointments within the Tucson area for an additional $50 travel fee. This option works well for families who prefer the convenience of having the casting done at home.
Do we bring our own baseball?
Yes. Please bring the baseball you want your child holding during the casting. For a first home run keepsake, bring the actual first home run ball whenever possible. That ball becomes part of the story behind the finished piece.
What ages work best for hand casting?
Hand casting works best for players age 7 through adulthood. Your child needs to hold the position for about 5 minutes while the mold is created.
How long does the finished keepsake take?
Your finished hand cast usually takes about 2 to 3 weeks. Each piece is created and finished individually.
How much does a baseball hand cast cost?
Baseball hand casts start at $250. Final pricing depends on the keepsake, personalization, base, and other options you choose.
Do you work with baseball teams or multiple players?
Yes. Team and group casting appointments are available.
Groups of 5 or more players receive 10% off each qualifying hand cast.

It takes about 30 minutes, and most of that he gets to watch his own hand appear in the mold. Kids love it.
What if I'm not crafty?
You don’t have to be. Cast it at home and mail it to me to finish, or skip straight to a studio session and I do all of it.
