The Problem Every Baseball Parent Knows

The first home run ball is going to end up in a drawer.

You know the moment. The crowd stood up. He rounded the bases. Someone tossed him the ball in the dugout. He carried it home like it weighed a hundred pounds.

Then the season ended. The first home run ball got put on a shelf. Then a drawer. Then a box in the garage. And the hand that hit it? That hand grew up.

A personalized baseball gift like a hand cast captures all of it — the grip on the seams, the size of his palm, the age he was when it happened — in something he can keep for the rest of his life.

First Home Run

The grip on the ball that cleared the fence, preserved exactly as he held it.

End of Season

The hand that played all spring, captured before he grows into next year.

Senior Night

The last season in the uniform, made into something he keeps forever.

Coach Gifts & Team Awards

Custom baseball coach gifts and team banquet keepsakes — an award the whole roster will still own at 35.

Why athletes choose a hand cast over a photo.

A photo flattens the moment. A trophy gathers dust. A hand cast captures the actual hand — the grip on the seams, the curve of the fingers, the size of the palm — at the exact age it happened. It’s the one keepsake that doesn’t fade.

Milestones worth preserving

Coach gift ideas for sports teams

A coach gift should reflect impact, not price. A handcast keepsake can capture the handoff, the grip, the moment of leadership.

DIY hand casting kit vs professional sports handcasting

DIY kits can work for casual projects, but sports poses are harder to capture cleanly

Why DIY kits often disappoint

Why done for you wins

I control the setup, guide the pose, and finish the piece as a true display sculpture, not a rough cast.

The Sports Handcasting process

Step 1, choose the story and the pose

We start with the moment you want to preserve, then choose a pose that tells it clearly.

Step 2, plan the equipment and composition

Ball, bat, glove, racquet, jersey number, we plan what will be included and how it will sit for clean detail

Step 3, the casting session

You hold still for a short time while the mold captures your hand position and fine detail.

Step 4, casting and curing

The piece is cast into a solid sculpture and cured for strength and longevity.

Hand presses into molding material inside a bucket as the mold forms around the fingers

Step 5, finishing and display readiness

Edges are refined, surfaces are cleaned, and the finish is completed so it is ready to display.

Sports hand cast awards for teams and organizations

If you are giving awards, the goal is a piece athletes keep, not a trophy they forget.

Team award handcasting options

  • Same pose for each athlete, consistent look across the team

  • Captain edition, coach edition, MVP edition

  • Limited edition fundraising pieces for booster clubs

What makes team awards easier

We standardize the pose and finish, then personalize with names, year, team, or a base plaque if desired.

Pricing and turnaround

People want a ballpark before they reach out.

Typical investment range

Most sports handcasting projects vary based on pose complexity, number of hands, equipment, and finish. If you tell me the sport, the pose, and the deadline, I will give you a clear range before we schedule.

Team awards are priced by quantity, consistency of pose, and finishing choice.

Turnaround time and rush options

Standard turnaround depends on the production queue and finishing choice. If you have a deadline, senior night, banquet, graduation, tell me upfront and I will confirm what is possible. If rush production is available, I will tell you the options and what it changes.
